Tradition continues with quilt donations in Penobscot

Sally Bridges (pictured) and Lois Gross of the Penobscot United Methodist Church continued a tradition last week when they brought handmade quilts to Penobscot Community School to give to the students in the pre-K classroom. The tradition has been going on for the last “3 to 4 years,” according to principal Jay Corbin. The quilts are sewn by members of the church and then donated to the pre-K students at the beginning of each school year, and is “just another example of how the community of Penobscot steps up to support their children and school,” said Corbin.
