News Feature
At a meeting open to members and the general public on Sunday, February 3, the Castine Historical Society will show objects and documents recently added to its collections. A wide variety of intriguing items including letters, quilts, maps, artwork, photographs and tools are received each year for preservation. This program offers the opportunity for everyone to examine the new acquisitions. CHS Curator Paige Lilly will tell what she knows about these materials and invite participants to share their knowledge and ideas, according to a news release. The event is free and open to the public from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the exhibition hall of the historical society’s Abbott School building at 17 School Street on the town common in Castine. |
