“Twilight” Run/Walk to benefit Adams School

Runners and walkers are invited to participate in the Cougar Classic “Twilight” Run/Walk Race to be held in Castine on Monday, August 20. 

The event, which begins and ends at the Castine town common, features a one-mile Fun Run for children 12 years of age and younger at 5 p.m., followed by a 5K Run/Walk for all ages at 5:30 p.m.

The 5K course takes participants through the village of Castine, with a brief trail run in Witherle Woods.  Registration for both events opens at the town common at 4 p.m. There is a $10 entry fee for participants 13 years of age and older. The event is free for younger individuals. Adams School Athletic t-shirts will be available for sale. 

All proceeds from the event will be used to purchase a trophy case for Adams School and support the school’s athletics program.  To register in advance at a discounted rate, or to volunteer your help, contact Amy Gutow at 326-8062 or amygutow@yahoo.com.
