Learning Place community comes together at open house
Parents, children, community members and others came together on November 9 for an open house at the nearly completed Community Childhood Learning Place in Castine. The childcare center has been years in the making, and spearheaded by Nancy and WG Sayre. As of November 9, the center still had a couple weeks to go before its opening, but the open house gave parents a chance to check out the learning opportunities their children will have should they decide to have them attend. It also served as an opportunity for the community to see the almost finished product of construction progress residents have continually kept tabs on.
