Tis the season in Penobscot

‘Hark the Herald Angel Sings” was one of many carols sung around the Christmas tree as it was lit up at the Penobscot Town Office during the annual tree lighting celebration on December 1. The event, sponsored by the Penobscot Historical Society, also featured homemade cookies and treats, gingerbread men decorating, letters to Santa Claus and the breaking of a pinata. Santa also made a visit from the North Pole.
