Penobscot eighth graders graduate to high school
Penobscot eighth-graders Blake Dow, Sydney Gray, Skylar MacNair and Julian Shook said goodbye to Penobscot Community School during a graduation ceremony on June 13. Principal Allen Cole wished the students luck and said that the group has been “special” during its nine years at the school. Special guest speaker Jim Henry told the students to “be happy, be safe, make good decisions, but enjoy the summer,” because September will be here before they know it. Dow was awarded a Daughters of the American Revolution award for citizenship, and Gray won the Secretary of State award, presented to her by State Representative Karl Ward.
